Other Bali Beaded Items
 

These beautiful beaded accessories are all made by hand by villagers from the little Balinese village of Penestanan.  It is located just west of Ubud which is in the central part of Bali and is considered the 'Cultural Center' of Bali.  Penestanan is known as the 'Village of Young Artists'.  The painting style is very unique and dates back to the 1930's when Dutch painters arrived in Bali and started having a profound effect on the native painters of that day.

Today it is known as the village of young Beaders, because of the number of families that now create the beautifully had beaded work.  I am highlighting the purses, necklaces, and hair pins for right now.  But, please check back later because I will be adding exquisite beaded broaches, and other beaded items.

These fashion musts are handmade entirely of tiny glass beads and these items are a sought after fashion accessory and have been in fashion for years and will remain in fashion for many years to come.
