It's July here in Paradise.  Which means two things - cool nights and Kite Season.  Click HERE to read the full story of the 2002 Bali Kite Festival held in Sanur.  It has lots of pictures to see and lots of details.

Sold me car today.  My intention when I purchased it last December was to buy the narrowest car I could find here in Bali.  Turns out that is a Suzuki Katana (Jimmy).  At the time, I planned on driving it for 6 months to get used to the roads and the drivers here and then to trade it in for something a little larger.  So the timing is really good.  Lots of tourists here now so I got a good price for it.  Now I'm looking around to rent a Feroza, which is little bit bigger (3 inches wider) and has a little bit bigger engine.  I'll rent it for the 3 weeks before I go back to  California.  Then when I return September 17th, I'll either rent it again for a few months or perhaps will purchase something.

Work is picking up here.  Just did a full web site review for a company in Kuta and have bid on making all the changes myself.  Also have made an offer to design and build another companies web site.  So we'll see how that goes.  I also am awaiting to get an interview with a local International School.  I'd love to do some substitute teaching there.

I'll be arriving in  California between Aug. 14 and Aug. 20.  Flights are pretty booked in August.  So I have reservation on ALL flights between those dates.  My return is all set - Sept. 17th.  While in California I'll be visiting with friends, working on my house in Oakland, and visiting family in So. Calif.  Should be a pretty fun 4 weeks and am looking forward to seeing everyone!

Oh yea, I am so lucky, either friends visit or friends of friends!  The Pohers just visited they are friends of Chris & Ben's.  She's British and he's French.  The kids seem French :-).  They live in France currently and had a great time here sampling the food! (Photo on the Friends Page.)
