1. Winfield Scott¹ Sly was born in Lockport, IL August 21, 1848.

He married Marguerite Woolworth. Marguerite was born in England September 30, 1850. At 41 years of age Marguerite became the mother of Marian Sly January 21, 1892.

At 43 years of age Winfield became the father of Marian Sly January 21, 1892.

Winfield Scott Sly and Marguerite Woolworth had the following child:

2 i. Marian² Sly was born January 21, 1892. Marian died 1974 at 82 years of age. She married Deloss Tower July 10, 1920. Deloss was born in Kingston, RI August 5, 1872. Deloss was the son of James Deloss Tower and Hannah Proceus. Deloss died January 31, 1965 in Los Angeles, CA, at 92 years of age. At 54 years of age Deloss became the father of Jane Francis Tower in Bloomington, IL, July 18, 1927. (See Deloss Tower for the continuation of this line.)

At 35 years of age Marian became the mother of Jane Francis Tower in Bloomington, IL, July 18, 1927.
