He married Henrieta Brock January 1, 1884. Henrieta became the mother of Albert Balensiefer October 23, 1883. Henrieta became the mother of Marie Elizabeth Balensiefer October 26, 1886. Henrieta became the mother of Frank Balensiefer September 1, 1888. Henrieta became the mother of Emma Johanna Balensiefer May 29, 1890. Henrieta became the mother of Albina Christina Balensiefer January 5, 1892. Henrieta became the mother of Jack Julius Balensiefer October 4, 1893. Henrieta became the mother of Clara Rose Handson Balensiefer April 28, 1896. Henrieta became the mother of Martin Carl Balensiefer in Oelwein, IO, March 2, 1899. Henrieta became the mother of Ludwig Balensiefer January 17, 1901. Henrieta became the mother of Josephine Balensiefer September 29, 1903.

At 36 years of age Bernard became the father of Albert Balensiefer October 23, 1883. At 39 years of age Bernard became the father of Marie Elizabeth Balensiefer October 26, 1886. At 41 years of age Bernard became the father of Frank Balensiefer September 1, 1888. At 43 years of age Bernard became the father of Emma Johanna Balensiefer May 29, 1890. At 45 years of age Bernard became the father of Albina Christina Balensiefer January 5, 1892. At 46 years of age Bernard became the father of Jack Julius Balensiefer October 4, 1893. At 49 years of age Bernard became the father of Clara Rose Handson Balensiefer April 28, 1896. At 52 years of age Bernard became the father of Martin Carl Balensiefer in Oelwein, IO, March 2, 1899. At 54 years of age Bernard became the father of Ludwig Balensiefer January 17, 1901. At 56 years of age Bernard became the father of Josephine Balensiefer September 29, 1903.

Bernard Balensiefer and Henrieta Brock had the following children:

14 i. Albert⁵ Balensiefer was born October 23, 1883. Albert died April 26, 1919 at 35 years of age.

15 ii. Marie Elizabeth Balensiefer was born October 26, 1886. Marie died January 26, 1913 at 26 years of age. She married Clair McCloud.

16 iii. Frank Balensiefer was born September 1, 1888. Frank died October 10, 1947 at 59 years of age. He married Josephine Wiggens Bruner.

17 iv. Emma Johanna Balensiefer was born May 29, 1890. Emma died January 1, 1919 at 28 years of age. She|he married Jack Peterson.

18 v. Albina Christina Balensiefer was born January 5, 1892. Albina died January 15, 1892 at less than one year of age.

19 vi. Jack Julius Balensiefer was born October 4, 1893. Jack died May 31, 1968 at 74 years of age. She|he married Emma Peters-Franci Sckler.

20 vii. Clara Rose Handson Balensiefer was born April 28, 1896. Clara died January 16, 1976 at 79 years of age. She married Ernst Schegge.

+ 21 viii. Martin Carl Balensiefer was born March 2, 1899.

22 ix. Ludwig Balensiefer was born January 17, 1901. Ludwig died January 10, 1946 at 44 years of age. He married Alice Bueter.

23 x. Josephine Balensiefer was born September 29, 1903. She married Edwin Nottger.
